Mention the make amongst motoring enthusiasts and the typical response would be something along the lines of safe, but oh so dull.
Not anymore.
The Volvo C30’s muscular and sporty looks is worlds apart from the typical boxy Volvo’s we see on our roads today - and with good reason.
Sporting a 2.5L turbocharged inline five-cylinder engine that produces 218hp and 320Nm of torque, the C30 accelerates from rest to 100km/h in roughly 6.5 seconds and onto a top speed of 240km/h.
Not what you’d expect from Volvo, eh?
Not only are the performance figures a surprise, but so is the edgy design of the unique frameless glass tailgate and muscular stance although the distinctive tail lamps ensure that no one will be uncertain about which car they are following.
