The Real Truth

July 25, 2007

As a man, and a lover of American muscle cars and high performance cars, I think that most of us men, deep of us inside somewhere, love American cars, and all men love the pure raw power of a muscle car, even though some of us don’t want to admit it, we say things like, I think the imports are built better, I think the big three motor companies could take some ques off of them, but why would we compromise our way of building, when it works, and it has for a long time.

We built the first gas powered cars, I do believe that Henry Ford was the first in history to build a gas powered car, and for years they have all followed suit, and used and reused our technology to build cars, yes maybe the manufacturing processes are different, but the whole idea of the imports being better then our cars is ludicrous, almost to the point of stupidity with some people, it’s a keeping up with the Johnson’s type thing, the people next door just bought a BMW, so just to be cool, I have to do it to.

What You Need To Know About Hybrid Cars

July 24, 2007

Hybrid cars definitely help fight the pollution problem by reducing emissions.

Hybrid cars combine a gasoline engine with a battery-powered electric motor. The electric motor kicks in at certain because of this hybrid engine gets significantly better gas mileage than a conventional gas engine.

Hybrids consume less gas and produce less pollution per mile than conventional gasoline engines. Hybrid cars have been on the market in the United States since 1999, but more and more are being developed and introduced each year.

The hybrid engine currently sold in the Honda Civic Hybrid gets 10 to 15 miles more per gallon than a regular gas engine in the same car. The hybrid engine of the Prius, made by Toyota, produces 90 percent fewer harmful emissions than a comparable gasoline engine. No doubt about it, these cars are good for the environment!

Hybrids are more expensive. Just like with any new technology, you will pay for the privilege of being a pioneer. The hybrid cars on the market today cost as much as $6000 more per car than comparable cars with conventional gas engines.

2007 Toyota Camry: A Hybrid For A Leader

July 16, 2007

Toyota has a couple of big things in store for the Camry when the 2007 model year version of the car rolls out this coming summer: a complete redesign and the availability of a hybrid engine. Already the best selling car in America, the Camry is destined to be overhauled and re-engineered. Let’s take a look at some of the changes scheduled for Toyota’s venerable model.

New Styling Cues – Nobody has ever said that the Camry is a knock out when it comes to style. Despite its pedestrian look, the Camry has managed to capitalize on Toyota quality, price, and engineering to present a car that is clearly a best seller. Still, critics have routinely yawned at the Camry’s looks, but that will soon all change and dramtically at that. Borrowing some styling cues from Toyota’s Lexus line up of luxury cars, the 2007 Camry is expected to delight motorists and critics alike. Witness the recently made over Toyota Avalon: what was once a bland, full sized car has now been transformed into a sleek, luxurious sedan.

Future Cars and Technologies

July 3, 2007

Cruising down the road American have come to love the automobile and what it stands for. But what will our future high performance cars look like? Some advanced thinkers and concept car creators are envisioning bio-diesel-electric cars with large body capacitors built out of space age materials. You are saying WOW; tell me more. Okay they plan on using four wheel drive where each wheel has an electric motor, like the Diesel Audi Sports Cars that the Germans drive at 150 mph on the autobahn. They are thinking of strong bodies made of things like carbon nanotube construction. Even a Hurricane like Katrina, Rita or Wilma could not hurt them or you inside. The windshields would be made of composite construction using these same materials, which would be 50 times lighter than steel and stronger or harder than diamonds. Indeed this material now exists. Meaning in a decade or more you will be driving one.

We will be manufacturing future cars with all this and more, cars, which do self-diagnosis, self-driving and even fly when needed. And can you say 250 mph gallon fuel efficiency? But we are talking a different type of fuel. Yes you could go for that, but what is the price? Don’t worry they will be as or more affordable than our current gas-guzzlers. Engineers and concept future car designers know that light-weight is the key to re-designing the automobile for efficiency and economy, either way. Composites, Alloy mixes, carbon nanotubes and even Aluminum Oxynitride will be used in future cars. Haven’t heard of some of these new materials? Don’t worry you will soon. Would you like to learn more about future car topics?

The event was actually held at the Gymnasium which is located in King’s Cross. And the CoolLive event is a part of the initiatives of CoolBrands from the Superbrands organization. The industry believes that this Superbrands organization is actually a really important so as to recognize which brands, people, or places are the coolest in the United Kingdom.

So who chooses which brands should be recognized? Well, the answer is that it is the CoolBrands council who actually do the judging. They simply do not base the judging on which has become popular during the moment. The council actually based their judging on which brands have actually been able to successfully create the coolest reputation in a given amount of time. It was not Taylor Wires who received the recognition nor Kleen Wheels. It was Aston Martin who successfully been chosen as the brand that has become the coolest.

2008 Subaru Impreza WRX: Different Grille For US Version?

June 13, 2007

So what’s the deal here; did Subaru decide to (partially) listen, to WRX fans performing a last minute grille change? Could be, since the New Jersey plated 2008 Subaru WRX hatch that popped-up at the ESX meeting in Hollywood a couple of weeks ago was driven by Subaru of America representative, Garrick Goh. We think you’ll agree with us that the discreet, black mesh grille looks so much better than the atrocious chrome mask we saw on the New York Show WRX.

Ferrari sets new Guinness World Record!

June 12, 2007
Ferrari Guinness World Record

Ferrari set a new world record for the Largest Parade of Ferrari cars over the weekend (June 9) when 385 of the famous scarlet red automobiles lined up at the Silverstone race-track in the UK.

In order for the record to be registered with Guinness, all 385 cars had to be driven a distance of at least two miles with each car being no farther than two car lengths apart - a feat that was managed via detailed planning, logistics and the participation of many UK Ferrari owners.

On show were some very rare Ferraris including the 250 California Spyder, 250GTO, F40s, F50s, Enzos and even the ultra-rare FXX - amounting to a combined worth of over AU$125 million (!) on the race-track at the same time!
